Biomolecular Aggregation Processes
The research activity concerns the study of biomolecular aggregation processes, with particular regard to:
1) Study of processes linked to the aggregation of proteins responsible for some neurodegenerative diseases, role of molecular chaperones as possible inhibitors and use of natural antioxidant molecules as scavenger in the formation of free radicals in vitro and in vivo.
2) Biophysical characterization and analysis of polymers (natural and synthetic, appropriately functionalized) usable in various sectors such as, for example, the biomedical sector (drug delivery, scaffold, tissue regeneration, etc.), the biotechnology sector and the agri-food industry.
