Full professor in biochemistry since 2000, Department of food and drug sciences, University of Parma. Associated with Cnr, Institute of biophysics, Unit of Pisa, since 2014.
Deputy Director of the Interdepartmental Center SITEIA.PARMA and member of the Biopharmanet-Tec Center, UNIPR. Coordinator of the protein Group, Italian Society of Biochemistry, since 2016.
It carries out scientific activity for the understanding of the relationship structure, dynamics, function and regulation of proteins. He received and receive funding on competitive projects from EU, NIH, Cnr, MIUR. He was PI of the three-year project CNR-RFBR (RUSSIA) on "Methionine gamma lyase as a new antitumor drug”. He has research contracts with pharmaceutical companies.
